I entered college as a architecture major; I graduated with a finance degree. I spent my early working years in corporate jobs first as a stock broker, then managing retail lumber yards, and then finally as a buyer for a warehouse club. During my corporate days, I spent most nights and weekends renovating houses for fun and profit.

I have spent the last fifteen years as a remodeling contractor. The projects have ranged in scope from complete houses to minor repairs. The bulk of my work has been building additions or doing kitchen and bathroom remodels. My design, problem solving skills, and my ability to work with challenging customers has kept me fully employed.

In September 2006, I entered the nine month comprehensive program at the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship. The CFC experience forced me to shift my thinking from being a production oriented trades person to a design, art oriented crafts person. Since graduating from CFC, I have specialized in finish carpentry while continuing to design and build modern furniture.

Some people consider me an artist but I think of myself just a creative crafts person.
